Cheri Collins

Dr. Cheri Collins is a former student of Raphael Bronstein, earning a Bachelor of Performance on Violin from the Manhattan School of Music in New York city. She has a Masters in Conducting and a Doctor of Arts in Higher Education and Violin Performance from George Mason University. Her Dissertation was on Connecting Science and the Musical Arts in Teaching Tone Quality: Integrating Helmholtz Motion and Master Violin Teachers’ Pedagogies. Cheri is currently conductor and artistic music director of the Capitol Symphonic Youth Orchestras conductor of the American Youth Philharmonic String Ensemble and a strings teacher with a Fairfax County Public Schools.
