This lecture by cellist Norman Fisher is fascinating, informative, inspirational and humorous. Take the time to watch the video at the bottom! It is great.

The Exploring the Mind Through music conference took place June 13-17, 2011 at the Shepherd School of Music. The Shepherd School of Music invited over thirty music and science fellows for the four-day conference on music and the mind.

The 30 Conference fellows came to Rice from the Chinese Republic, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain, Israel, Sweden and leading institutions throughout the United States. The goal of the conference was to promote collaboration between musicians and scientists and spur research, as well as increase public interest in this exciting emerging discipline.

Great Video! The way Norman Fischer explains each part is very fascinating. There were so many interesting facts and the comparisons that he made were easily understood by anyone. I enjoyed this video a lot.
